Default Yep Been There

Hi, Just about all of us that have a K2 has had this problem from the get go, it is tail rotor speed VS head speed, I tried the 450 blades which worked better but still wasn't great, most of us have put the 43T main pulley mod on which spins the tail faster and makes the tail work like it should. Hopes this helps LOL Wrench

check the norm rev switch on the gyro, the stock gyro is set to rev, but when I replace it with a dynm gyro the heli did the same thing that you are describing, it is fine untill it starts to break ground, I put the swich on norm, problem fixed.

Default Esky HH Gyro

I had one do that. Then the Exceed RC 30A Esc caught fire. Replaced with an actual Hobbywing 40amp esc and new transmitter batteries (DX6i) as they were down to 5.2 volts. It has not happened since (6 flights).

I am wondering if the esc was giving the gyro noise, or the AR6100e receiver was cutting to safety mode due to transmitter power. Or there is a gremlin lurking...

On the spinning, I had two things - bad gyro and a sticky - slow tail servo causing that. If those are OK the 43 tooth upgrade really helps things. Also, getting the tail servo on the right place on the boom for servo center trim at hover rpm helps. About 3/16 - 1/4 inch from the boom side stop on the tail slider for starters.
