I just got one of these spy cams that everyone is flying with on here, but I have some questions. Mine has an external card that goes into the side for memory, so do I have to take that out and place it into my computer to put the video on my computer or do I leave it in the spy cam and plug in the USB cable to the computer? I want to make sure I do it right

Either way will work fine. Just plugging the USB cord into the computer is easier for me.

Thanks for the quick reply. I will leave it in and plug the USB cable in then!

FYI The USB port is how you charge it also....I would suggest that before you try it....

Ordered my cam December 28, received it today, for a whopping $10.51 with free shipping! How can you go wrong?

Cool

I ordered one of the 720x480 models that take Micro SD cards on January 3 and it came today. I paid $15.68 for it, but I'm still quite happy with the price, especially since I scored a 4GB Micro SDHC card at Fry's last weekend for $10.

Here's a quick video from my slot car track:

It's the best ten bucks I ever spent! Looking forward to strapping it onto a heli and some model rockets.

None. It was just a dinking around thing, nothing real serious. I don't use it that much, so I figured it would be good for just some screwing around.

Yep, plenty of fun, Mr. RedLine, whether with kids and family or a more competitive group of adults, or even on your own. There are plenty of slot car resources on the web. Start with www.slotcarillustrated.com.

Got my camera! Wondering how long it's taking you all to charge yours back up. It looks like about 15 minutes to completely charge mine from dead to full. Is that what you are seeing? Hope I didn't hurt the battery running it all the way out. I have an 8 gig card and it will take almost two hours of nonstop video.

No it's just a version 3. What I should have said was that an 8 gig card will give about two hours of total record time. I tested my actual total record time today on one battery charge and mine will record for thirty minutes, then restart and run another thirty minutes, then it's out of power. Guess an 8 gig card is overkill. A 4 giger is all you need for one battery charge.

Actual storage capacity depends on the details in view, too. Don't test capacity by leaving it sitting on your desk pointed at a blank wall. Test capacity with it looking out the window at a leafy bush on a bright windy day, or some other high-detail high-motion scene. The images are compressed, and compression is harder when there are details.

Thanks for the lession on compression because that's exactly what I did, laid the camera on my desk at work and pointed it at the doorway. I'll give it another try today with some action and see what I get.
