Default How do you do it?

So I had my first crash this weekend. Slammed in to a window wail zipping around the back yard. No major damage, but some missing pitch linkage which I think caused the crash. So after the crash I had a short chicken dance when I hit the ground which spun the tail up the tail shaft until is was super tight on the shaft. So the question is how do you hold the tail shaft still without damaging it to remove the tail?

This may be an weak question, but I'll already ruined one tail shaft trying to hold it still.

Sorry for your crash D. I use a pair of needle nose vise grips. Clamp it on right where the shaft exits the bearing. Tight enough it doesn't slip, I don't worry so much about putting grooves in the shaft since the pitch slider doesn't come in that far anyway.

Default Thanks Jet

I followed your advice and it worked like a charm.

Thanks,
