Default New Whiplash on the way!
Just pulled the trigger on a brandy new Whip 90e FBL kit! This will be my first 700.

Excited and scared sh*tless at the same time



Curious for motor size. Will a Hacker A50 12L Pull her around?

Hmm I have never used a hacker, but on mine I have used:

align 700 MX 530KV
Xera 4530-500
Quantum 4530-500

The Xera and quantum are equal in monster performance. Absolutely no bog with Gens Ace 5300 30c packs. I pull around 9-10K watts on this setup with no issues.

How was the 700MX performance?

I'm not a crazy stick banger. Big air, smooth 3D... Still trying to determine how I want to set her up....

The first motor I used in mine was an Xera 4030-560. It had as much power as the scorpion HKIII4035-560 and it ran much cooler. That motor was plenty powerful enough for this Heli, I just went crazy and got the KDE 700 XF 495 which has ridiculous power. I would highly recommend any Xera motor.

I like my KDE 700XF495. I got it more for the low vibration and high quality specs such as quad bearings and completely maintenance free (no need to oil bearings after a certain number or flights). It has more power than I need.

The Align 700MX should work fine, but quality control seems to be a concern.

Really sounds like the KDE or Xera should go on this bird.....

What are you flying for head speed there?

She moves out pretty well with that 700mx. Impressive flying as well

That was 2150. BTW that is Tim Jones flying it.
