oeps... i think my servo horn snapped today.

During flight a weird short wobble during a flip... hmm
So i wanted to take it down.. but after a few second a snap and the heli went totally out of control to the ground.

It was flying so good the last weeks.... well now i'm having a new rebuild project for the next weeks.

Default Compass Crash Club

Had a mild crash today, could have been worse. Tail started acting funny when I pitch pumped it kicked hard. Leveled it out and it started rolling so I hit TH and bled off most of my HS before hitting the ground. When I got back to the garage I found this.
I think the pin came out of my tail pitch lever set. I think I popped the link on cyclic servo when I crashed. Rolling might have been caused by the strong winds today.

Have you guys ever lost a pin like this? Do you guys CA this pin? Heli hasn't been crashed in a good while, don't think it was vibe related.

Only damage to Heli was 1 blade and skids. The tail seems to be fine other than the missing pin.

This pin always wants to slide out in my 5.5, but it slides quite slowly, so I always check its position prior to flying. A little CA can easily remedy this issue.

Ouch! That Kosmik alone will cost more than the whole rest - that's BTW quite a bunch of money.

Sorry for the loss!

Wow - I'm sorry to see this. This might be the worst crash I've ever seen on a Chronos.

Sewerfly - hopefully you have your ship flying again.

I had a bad crash the other day and was having trouble during the rebuild. Found out I had bent the spindle on the Chronos (which takes some talent ) so put in a new one only to find there was still a problem.

After a little more problem solving I realized I had also bent the Center Hub! () - crap, didn't even know that was possible.

Its all repaired now and waiting for reasonable weather - which might not be until Spring.

Hi All, I haven't been on Heli Freak in years and I am glad its still around. I can guess most of us have moved on past the Atom 500 except me I still have mine and my 7HV but I don't fly much or should I say at all. I no longer live in California either but I do love my new home out here in Michigan. I have spent the last 30min laughing at this thread and I am so happy I listened to Finless Bob about starting it. Anyway hope you all are doing well and enjoying life.

Well, I picked up another Atom, two eXo's, and a Chronos at Chollas.

That should keep me flying for a while (assuming I can actually get out to fly again).
