Default Main Shaft Set Screw

Does anyone know the size of the hex wrench for the main shaft collar set screw? One of my children named "I don't know" did something with my original wrench that came with the kit...it has zanished.

So, I ordered a new Align hex wrench for the 250 from ReadyHeli. The one I received is 1.2mm and it's too freaking big. Or does anyone have a hex wrench they want to get rid of?

Thanks Bob! I've got a really nice set of Integy hex drivers, but the smallest they go is 1.2mm. I would have hoped that Align still has the 0.9mm hex available...but at least I know the size.

I know from experience that those Wiha tools are crap, at least for the small sizes. I rounded a brand new 1.3mm one out on its first bolt!

The gray one is too big. It's 1.2mm.

Sure, just be sure to order a MIP/Thorpe driver while you're at it.

It was the swame way for me, the two little drivers that came in my set are a complete waste of money. I wish I had the common sense to get the mips from the jump. Most of the rc truck and buggy guys I know use integy drivers, and they rave about how good they are. Next time I go to my lhs I will have to take a better look at their driver sets before i spend a small fortune on the mip thorps.

I've never had a problem with Integy hex wrenchs...the set I currently have has been in service for 15 years...with only one broken tip (because of my daughter). MIP Thorp may be good, but extremely overpriced, IMHO...

Fair 'nuf - I don't have 'em both to compare.

I ordered all of MIP's drivers from 0.9 - 3.0 mm. I have been very happy with them and have been able to work on the 250 with much more ease, no more stripped heads and frustration so worth every penny to me in saved hassles.
