Hey all,

So in a very roundabout way I am the organizer for LA3D this year. I literally just found this out a few minutes ago, but I'm hoping everyone who can make it does. Also, any vendors who have an interest in coming out please PM me for details so I can try to sort this out as soon as possible. Thank you everyone who can make it and hopefully it will be a good event this year. Feel free to give suggestions for the event.

This time of year gets pretty busy for me, but I might be able to get out briefly.

I will have to see how things go. It would be nice to attend a meet this close to home!

Would it be at all possible to move this thing to the first or second weekend of November instead? October is a really bad month to try and do anything, let alone going to two FF's (both which I have attended and have always enjoyed). Always seems like a clash of schedules this time of year though. Maybe even try for a spring-time event since almost nothing happens then. I'd be more than happy to come out in March or May!

The AMA magazine has the date listed for this fun fly as OCT. 07 through OCT. 09.

THESE ARE THE SAME DAYS AS THE HELIFREAK FUN FLY!! ARE BOTH FUN FLYS THE SAME WEEKEND?! PLEASE TELL ME AMA IS WRONG!! HELP!

LA3D moved dates to the days mentioned in this thread after trying to host the Helfreak Fun Fly at the Basin fell through. And Tim, I can't do anything to move the event back this close in. Sorry, but it stays that weekend.

It is more like WE tried to host it there and they were IMPOSSIBLE to deal with so we moved on as we had other opportunities and exercised them. Mitch tried his best, I would have been MUCH less patient if I knew what he was struggling with! Oh well.

Best wishes for the event Dicey, I know you are a good guy man. If I lived closer I would probably attend.

I'm wondering what interest there might be in an auto contest or drag racing at the event. Also, any ideas on local pros I should contact. I'll be asking around this coming weekend and feel free to let me know any ideas you might have if you see me at the fun fly this weekend. I hope everyone is looking forward to this one.
