Where did you get the carbon boom?

Every carbon boom I have tried caused nothing but resonance, too much flex.
Maybe this one is thick wall?

This is a pro carbon tailboom...cost a lot of money but ultra stiff and strong.
Procarbon.de makes high quality carbon.
I know it is too much but it lookes so f awesome.

We have tested exactly this boom and it was very dangerous. The production quality of the boom is superb, absolutely no question about that, but a carbon boom does not fit to the Diabolo. During spooling up in flight from 1500 to 1900 there was a dangerous resonance anywhere between. The frame of the Diabolo is simply too stiff for a carbon boom and the amplitude from the sudden resonance is then too high. So be cautious if you will try that and keep your finger on the idle up switch to come quickly down again with the headspeed.

I have same result with carbon boom on JR Vibe 50, and 700E, resonance. Nick Maxwell was the one who told me to take it off the Vibe because of flex after he flew it.

Another proud owner of a Diabolo, I made the maiden flight today and I really like it more than the other 700 helicopters I have tried.

Set-up:
Kosmik 200 - 7,2V BEC
Scorpion 4035 500KV (Slowflyworld rewind)
BLS 451 cyclic (7,2 V - OK according to Futaba giving a bit more torque and speed)
BLS 256 HV tail
vstabi 5.3
Radix 710
Rockamp 5000 60C

Dang! Think that 4035 is going to overamp the Kosmic 200?

The Pyro 800 does not fit so far till I modify the frames, and the Slowflyworld modification of the 4035 should be similar to a 4525 or a 4530. The Kosmik is an overkill, but it makes fun In the Kosmik logs I see 125 Amp peaks, but I doubt that even my connectors can stand more current.

What I do not like are the rpm variations in the Kosmik log, will try if the Pyro 800 improves them.
