Total G with Hitec Aurora 9 ext rx
Hi There,
Anyone using this combination on a Nitro heli? I am not sure how to setup the gov when using the ext rx. I would like to asign the fc gain to the aux2 channel, and control it with a switch. As for the Gov, I would like to activate it with the Flight mode. In other words, the gov must only activate in Idle 1 & 2, but off in normal . When using the external rx, it seems like there are a aux / gear channel short to control the gov gain with. It is not possible to control it with gview, as the gov will then be on in all flight modes, making it dufficult to perform engine tuning. I have assigned the tail gyro gain to the gview. |

I run my TotalG on my nitro in the external receiver mode with a Futaba radio. In ext Rx mode you only have control of 2 out of the 3 gain settings(Flight control,Tail Gyro, & Governor)
I tend to keep control of the FC gain & Tail Gyro while assigning the Governor to GView. I tend to run a single head speed. What you may be able to do is turn off the governor and run off your throttle curves for tuning then re assign the function when you are satisfied. You must set the high & low throttle positions regardless of the governor operation. I hope this answers some of your questions.
