No mowing for me today then. The sun is shining and the snow is coming down hard. The cherry creek has already spilled her banks. +1 wholly crap!

Too much wind, too much work, but if she comes out of her bank, I'll be ready!

Flew four packs on the 550 today, and I concur with Tom's sentiments. JHC, I HATE winter!!!!

Not that it is realy winter, but it is coming, and today was cold, windy, and damp. The damp being worst of all as it seems to chill me to the bone.

By the last pack my fingers were stiffening, and I was struggling to maintain good control. Still, can't be all bad, as I got back inctact.

Cheers

Sutty

Come on it wasn't that bad this afternoon was it?? Just be thankful you weren't stuck up a ladder trying to fix a refridgeration panel in said howing wind and rain, half blind

Have to say though, most of our jobs tend to be in the country/rural locations, so I was spoilt with some nice views of the Welsh mountains today looking across the Shrewsbury plain, watching light aicraft and helicopters flying by Love my new job, and found my iPhone

Don't know what you two are going on about?
It's bloody marvelous here!

Don't even want to joke about it. Been out of work twice now with my knee this year, worse part is yet to come!

Damned clocks have gone back today. Be dark just after lunch, lol. Well, not quite, but it will be dark pretty early. I just don't see the point of making it go dark mid afternoon. Come winter they should actually add another hour, not the other way around. Who cares what it's like in the sodding mornings.

Winter's really coming now.

This is going to shape up to be a very mild halloween for us. Usually, we get some of our crappiest weather this time of year.
Me and my knee aren't complaining, though!

I laughed at your comment earlier Sutty - was working with a painter on Saturday, and he said the good light had gone by 2pm. On Sunday after the clocks change, that would be 1pm, so your not far wrong

Things going well for me in the background, so hoping by the time we come out of this winter I'll have caught up on a few more things and be ready to take on next flying season. I know I said the same thing last year but the crash in the van and having to change jobs a few times held me back. This winter I would like to finish tweaking the 450, then new servo's for the 600, soon followed by converting that to FBL.

Also, been told this week I'll get a work van in Jan/Feb (I reckon Feb). The other lad who started before me got the 2nd company van. So I'll find out by end of this week, if I can make a deal to buy his small car to run around in, in the meantime

Glad with what I did acheive though - finishing the charging station, getting the 450 converted to FBL and getting that internet cable laid. Oh, and getting a new job. Winter - bring it on, I want it to be summer again already

Well,,,, damn, it's happened.

Guess I shouldn't bitch too loudly, taking into consideration October was one of the best I remember in a long time. But damn, the cold has settled in big time!
I'm starting a 2 day off stretch, so I have absolutely no plans step a foot outside the door.

The good news, I got plenty to do.
I started the Penguin/Vector upgrade, printed out the manual, just got to walk thru the 80+ pages and finish the set up. Should be ready for testing by the time the cold spell snaps.

Finally got a file back from Jim for the Ruby. The calibration file for the mag/airspeed sensor looks good according to Jim.
He's had a lot on his plate with the expansion of his business. As a result, he has announced he will no longer take on any new hobbyist customers. His new direction is to concentrate on his military contracts, and hobby rtf suppliers. All existing hobby customers can still enjoy all benefits of membership.
Pretty exciting stuff!

Then, there's the Hex,,,, still sitting on the counter, patiently waiting.
Been eyeballing it a lot lately.
Got to get it ready for when my grandson gets here! Got to get it all ready, got a big 2015 planned.
