Default Tt39 sleeve removal

I'm trying to replace the bearings in my TT39 engine. I don't have the money to replace the engine.

I can see the bearings are shot but I can't get the sleeve to budge so I can take the piston off the crank.

I tried the old ice on the sleeve trick but it still won't budge. Anyone have any tricks to remove a stubborn sleeve?

Thanks!!

Apply some heat (heat gun) all around the crankcase so it expands - if this is not enough on it's own use a wooded stick and gently knock on the sleeve from the back crankcase opening, you should be able to reach the bottom of the sleeve from there.

Put the stick on the sleeve - knock with a hammer (on the stick !) - while the head of the engine is on the work bench (put 2 pieces of wood on the bench so the head will not move - but the sleeve is still able to move out).

Remove the carb and any other gaskets or O-rings and put the whole thing in the oven at 350 degrees. Once hot, the sleeve will be easier to get out. If it still needs a little help, place the square end of a zip tie in the exhaust port and rotate the engine so the piston will push up on it and push against the top of the exhaust port opening in the sleeve only, clearing the block. That will push the sleeve up without damaging anything.
