Default Urgent help needed - main gear keeps stripping

My blade 450x main gear keeps stripping after I replace it. Every single time. Anyone know why? I've tried 4x same result everytime. Once got off the ground and it spun out of control main gear stripped after it got a foot off the ground.

Anyone?

How is your gear mesh? If it's really loose, or really tight it will strip your main gear.

It was loose once because I thought it was too tight the other time and this time around I couldn't see anything wrong with it but still stripped. I'm baffled

No expert here but when setting the gear lash I would either adjust it to where a piece of thin paper could be fed through it, or I just set it "as if" that piece of paper would go through. Not binding too tightly, not out on the ends of the teeth, just enough so that I can have a tiny bit of play between the two.

How far out is yours set?

How far down is your motor gear set?

My motor gear's bottom surface sits about 1/16th inch lower than the main gear. Keeps that upper tapered part away.

Also make sure that you are setting the proper lash at the tightest point of the gear. Good point about the pinion. If any part of the angled/tapered portion is contacting the main gear, it wil wear out quickly. How is your soft start?
