Beast X + JR 28X throttle calibration
Hi,
Im setting up a gaui X5 and need to calibrate the CC120, JR 28X and Beast X shows a purple light on initialization and i know its wrong. As i move the stick up the lights A toD scroll through and above half stick the light turns blue. The Esc keeps giving off beeps like its waiting to setup end points. Throttle is not working. What should i do? I tried bypassing the X bus , going through the Jr 712BX rx and calbirating its endpoints and spoolup was perfect. but now, when i route the throttle thru the beast x the abovementioned problem arises. Pls help |

Hi,
sounds like your function assignment is mismatched. When moving the throttle stick and the leds cycle through probably your throttle or pitch channel is controlling the gyro. This makes perfectly sense as the JR Xbus protocoll uses the same manfacturer ID as Multiplex-RC! So when you choose the default function assignment in Microbeast's receiver setup menu, it'll choose the Multiplex preset which uses channel 6 for controlling the gyro. See: http://wiki.beastx.com/index.php/Man...etup_menu_B/en For the JR radio system you must perform a custom function assignment in the Microbeast receiver menu and teach the system your channel configuration as there is no specific preset for JR (as said JR uses the same ID as Multiplex, so Microbeast is not able to identify your receiver as JR receiver). Alternatively you may change the function assignment in the transmitter so that the channels/functions match the Multiplex preset of Microbeast. Don't know if the 28X has such feature!?

Thanks for the explanation Frenchdress, when I mapped the channels the 1st channel was pitch so I isolated it by pressing HOLD but what do I do when I need to assign throttle channel --I mean how do isolate it from the pitch channel ?

Hi,
there is no need to isolate throttle from the pitch. Once you have assigned pitch it will not be recognized any more in the further steps, as it is already reserved. It is not possible to assign one channel to more than one function.

Hi rcfreek
I have never done this process, but if you mean how can you stop throttle being sent, so that you can definitely tell that it is pitch that you are assigning, could you not use a flat throttle curve at 0 or a very restricted range, like 0-10%? I don't know if you see things move, to identify which is assigned where, but if you do, a changed throttle curve would allow you to easily identify which is pitch. As I say, never done it, so have no idea if this has any relevance, but posted just in case. Cheers Sutty

Thanks Sutty, I tried doing this and it's worked but my problem is truly getting the throttle to work.
Frenchdress, when the throttle is read I can only get the blue light to blink when I switch the hold on and off . Throttle movement doesn't make it blink. When I connect the 6s pack the esc makes sounds as if it's looking for a signal to lock onto and initialize. It seems throttle is not being read. What am I doing wrong? |

HI,
- what can you see on the transmitter's servo monitor when flipping throttle hold or when moving the throttle? There must be some channel moving when flipping the throttle hold otherwise the LED wouldn't flash!? - Don't you have a servo you can connect to CH5 port testwise? So you might see which channel is controlling the CH5 on the microbeast after teaching the channels? - when in the receiver menu there is no signal on the output ports, only at the very last step (failsafe setting) the throttle output CH5 is enabled.
