Oh yeah.
360 blades pull much more air than 325. Big difference.

Do I see that right that you can now take out all the cyclic the servos without removing the head or headblock at all? That's a fantastic feature and almost necessary with the DFC head. I just asked about an easy way to remove the servos from the 450 Pro on here after a mild crash that left everything intact except for the servo gears.

I don't mind having the servo gears as a weak link as long as they're easy to access and easy to buy (unlike the DS415M gears that no one has in stock around here...)

I just posted a reply to your other thread - I think it'll clear up the confusion.

I got a PM from Tim at Assurance today saying 2-3 weeks!!!

Going to love seeing the head to head comparison between this and the X3 plastic toy edition coming out at the same time.

Is this going to be released in 6s only or will there also be a 3s version from the factory? Does the new motor have the same mounting dimensions as the mx motors?

Very cool I hadn't realized how long the canopy is. Should help with visibility.

Maybe this will continue helping the popularity of 350/360-bladed 450's (preferably 6S).

The long canopy on my 550DFC has been great. Glad to see this moving to other models too.

I think 350mm 450s on 6S is going to become the standard for that class. Aside from the Warp there hasn't been much out if the box ready, but now we will have a much wider selection with the addition of the 450L, X3, and Thunder Tiger e360 along with rumors of a mini Goblin for in the class.

They're aren't going to release a 3s Dominator.

A 3s battery can barely pull 325mm blades. It would be a dog on 360mm.

Yup that thing can barely get out of it's own way on 3S...

[ame]http://youtu.be/yV0U4d_OoxY[/ame]

I do hope they have a 325 version, or at least they use some cross over equipment, so we can build them as a 325, I am just not a fan of the 350mm blades.

I've seen that video before too.

The kit is not going to come with a Scorpion or KDE motor.

The difference between the 450mx on 3s and 4s is ridiculous. On 3s it bogs and is weak- on 4s is just about perfect. I've experimented and flown it back to back on 3s then 4s.... Its embarrassing to call it a Pro on 3s.

Those high performance 3s motors also give up significant flight time (about a minute) (20% of your flight time) with more heat on the system. Instead of 5mins of smack flight... you now have 4. And much more wear and tear.

If 3s has the gusto to get the job done... then why is it becoming obsolete on 450s?

I appreciate your sarcastic video.... but its nothing new.

And the Dominator still isn't coming out with a 3s version nor 325mm blades. Hence the name - Dominator. Bet me.

PS.. He's also doing mostly big air flying with Piros.. I know the KDE motor is awesome... but it will show its weakness in smack flight next a 6s. That's why KDE built the 6s version.

Is that an optical illusion or are the aileron servos slightly angled? Just curious from looking at that first pic?

They are angled a bit. Like they are in the 600 efl

I love how so many people think all 450s should be 6s. I have been in a heli club for more than 7 years, have visited many other clubs and been to countless rc heli events over the years. The majority of heli flyers couldn't out fly a 2s setup, let alone need a 6s 3500 rpm heli.... but thats what they will all be running. Can't wait to see all those 450s screaming while hovering tail in with an occasional flip

That's an interesting opinion you have formed and shared by what you have seen.... not felt.

Build a 450 with a motor that can run on 3s and 4s and switch back and forth... even the pinion if you want.

You will see by feeling and experiencing-- the helicopter takes off easier, has better response, much more torque and in general just feels better. When you move the collective- the helicopter moves instantly.

Its pretty easy to see the advantages. I'd be interested to hear the disadvantages. The 1700kv and 3400kv 450mx? Same price....

I don't think a 450 has to be 6s... Even the Trex 700 was 6s until recently.... but a 3s motor on 360mm blades on a helicopter designed to be the most powerful ever..... will be weak. This helicopter was not designed to tail in hover at 3600 rpm at your heli clubs.

That was the point.

I have owned many 3s, 4s and 6s 450s from most of the major manufacturers. I don't speak by what I have seen, only things I have personally owned and flown.

Ok.. so what point are you trying to make?

The Dominator is designed to be the most powerful helicopter ever... 6s motor, 450 frame, 360mm blades.

Its designed for people who fly to the limits.
