Default Scorpion 4035-560 rewind

I have a old Scorpion 4035-560. I want to rewind for more power. Some idea for rewind. Is good the wind YY for this motor? What is the better KV for Trex 700E ?

I run a stock HKIII 4035-560 on my 700E with a 12T pinion and 112T main. This combo works pretty good with a Jive 120 (gives plenty of headroom).

stolla says rewinding this motor with 1.4mm wire in a YY configuration is the right thing to do.

I'd say 5+5 in YY comes close to your target.
It depends a bit on which ESC you are using. YGE and Castle produce a little bit higher Kv than Jive.
Best is always to do a test wind with thin wire and only 6 teeth (one of the 2 motors) and then let it run with a known voltage and measure the speed,

He said 5+5 for 560kV and 5+6 for 510kV. 8000W+ easy.

ABC is a Delta terminated winding.
I thought you would like to go with a YY?

This would be the proper YY winding scheme:
AabBCc/aABbcC
There are other possibilities by winding all groups in the same way and just terminating differently.
Just have a look at powerditto.de

it would be about 12x5x40x2+6x40+6x100=5640 mm, say roughly 6 meter wire, should be correct I hope?

/edit: don't bother. They sell by weight...

l = 12x5x40x2+6x40+6x100 = 5640 = 6000 mm

A = pi*r^2 = 1,54 mm^2

V = A*l = 1,54*6000 = 9240 mm^3 = 9,24 cm^3

d = 8,96 g/cm^3

m = V*d = 9,24 * 8,96 = 83 g

So I guess this following 1,4 mm 250 g reel would be suitable?
