Default Ressizing rocket links to fit 5mm balls?

Would it be ok to resize Quick UK rocket links to fit 5mm balls (servo / swash links) or would that weaken the link too much?

Ive done it and it holds just fine. I did have to use 2 different sized reamers(link balls with cuts in them) to get them there without damaging them and I wrecked a few before I got it right. Once they are right I used them for many many flights without any wear on them. Drilled out the rod holes to fit the link rods as well.

I had to use the Quick UK links on my T700 gasser to make the tail rod longer. They did need some sizing to fit on Align balls (are they 5MM? I forget). I did buy a special tool to do the reaming. A tiny bit is all you need but otherwise they were too tight. Ream too much and they are too loose.

Tail balls on the 700 are 4.76mm swash balls are all 5mm.

Trex 550 and 600 uses 4.76mm balls except on the FBL links which uses 5mm balls.

Never understood the need for 5mm balls an extra .24mm isn't enough to make a significant strength difference and plenty of helicopters use standard 4.76mm balls everywhere with no problems.
