I was wondering why my skookum GPS 2 has a accuracy of 37 meters and my GPS 1 or original version has a accuracy of 1.4 meters is there something I'm missing in the set up .

If I remember correctly, civilian GPS units have a detuned accuracy of 30 meters. That doesn't mean it will always be out 30 meters. I have seen the accuracy change on my boat.
But that doesn't mean if you use return home it will be 30 meters out, it means you could be 30 meters out from a chart reference. If that makes sense.
