Display only - no impact on cycle time.

Default Migrating Battery History to a new Tablet

RevoKelly, how do I take the battery History and move it to a new tablet? Hunting around with ES Explorer, I can see all the .hst files sitting in the downloads folder on the internal storage of my old tablet, copying them to the downloads folder on the new tablet didn't work.

I think it would be nice if the files were placed in their own folder instead of the "downloads" folder.

The files you see in Downloads is just for debugging purposes - the actual history files are in a hidden directory. Downloads will only be used for import/export of .zip backup or .csv files.

Yes, I saw that thread.. but I am faced with the issue of having to now hold on to my old tablet or abandon the history which is not a very satisfying conundrum.

yeah i understand, i had a few charges and then deleted the app to try to get the bluetooth to connect better and lost them. at least the app/bump have still kept track of the cycles for which im more interested in keeping. i still have history back up for when and if i am able to reuse it.

Definitely do history Backups occasionally - youll be able to use them soon to restore ... Jan/Feb timeframe.

Looks like they snuck in an app and bump update. I'll let kelly give the details but for those that want to do it now. It's out there.

Default Multiple packs setup mode?

Is the CCS app going to be able to deal with the Multiple packs
parallel/separate choice soon? Once the bump is configured the CCS has all the other required functionality to take over the bump GUI.
Without going to separate tags for each battery this alone is keeping me
from putting the bump out of sight in my new charger case build.

Honestly, its not very high on our priority list so likely to be several months. Im not sure i would recommend completely burying the Bump - not to say it shouldnt work, but we are not really prioritizing/optimizing for that use case so if issues popup, it could take longer for features/fixes. Would also make troubleshooting difficult if u run into any issues with Bump/app interaction.

Can anyone tell me what the balance bypass % represents?

Its how.much the balancer is currently bypassing that cell - which means some charge current is getting bypassed around the cell so less current is flowing into that cell. This is the core of how balancing works - it allows the other cells (with lower voltage) to "catchup" to the higher voltage cells (which are being bypassed to some degree).

Makes sense. I notice the status bars next to each cell voltage readout are highest level when the bypass is highest. Are the two related because I would have thought the higher the bar readout the more current is being put into that cell?

Inversely related - higher balance bypass % means less going into cell. It would be possible to show it the other way, but it gets a little more complicated since the balancer is limited to 1A - the current flowing into the cell = charge amps - (bypass% x 1A). Showing actual amps per cell, as well as capacity per cell, is something we can derive from bypass% - its on our wish list.

Just an update on the Apple iOS version of the CCS app ...
We have submitted the request for public posting of the app, so once we fix whatever Apple doesn't like, it will be ready for download.
Once it's available on iTunes, I'll post here again.

I was charging today using my dpl8/bump

Meanwell power supply and generator

I had trouble getting the unit to ramp up the current as I received his message

Low volt restore chg

What does that mean? Amperage went down greatly and power supply and generator still had plenty of capacity

Thoughts?
