Default Tail Wag?

Just curious, has anybody heard of or seen if the 130X will be susceptible to tail wag?

Based solely on my experience with the T-rex 250, which can have some pretty serious tail wag ( like a happy puppy wag ). And it's not necessarily a gain issue.

Wondering if it's a 250 issue alone or something to do with smaller heli's with a belt/TT driven tail. Direct motor drive not applicable.

Opinions please....

From all the videos posted so far it doesn't seem to be an issue. With the 250 I think it's very sensitive to having the perfect setup of the belt and such. The gain is apparently adjustable (don't quote me but they've hinted at it and another post here said they mentioned it at SEFF I believe) so there will be a little bit of adjustability on our end.

Its the 250s fault, the gaui 200 is the same size and never had any serious problems. Even the walkera 120s are pretty solid and they are very similar in design (I hope the blade electrics are better though).

I think the 250's wag issue is from the builder. I saw a pic on line of a guy running one of the cyclic servos on the tail and the tail servo on one of the side cyclics. Funny cause I wondered if this guy has wag issues. Not sure wag can be blamed on the model. Whole lot can be done wrong by the guy putting it together. A good FBL system seems to fix these problems though. My 250 flies great in IU. I still need to tune it a little better for normal flight. I have a totally stock 250 bird. No wag. It was my first build. I may have got lucky. But then again I am a tradesman that strives for perfection in most things I do.

There's a sticky on 250 tail wag, not to go off topic, but not always the fault of the builder, seems quite common with that bird. The fix for me was to switch the gyro to analog output, using a digital servo and setting the link closer to the center of the servo and the wag went away. Just saying.

I've not had wag issues on mine, I think that there is a pretty simple design flaw on the 250 that should have been designed out years ago

On the tail, the linkage arm is too short, meaning that to keep the overall gain down, you need to run a very short servo arm

But any play in the system becomes significant % wise as the pushrod and linkages are only moving a small distance
