Default My newly modified Li-Po bunker...

iCharger coming soon so no need for more packs..

Slyster's idea, just changed it a little. Easy access. Nothing is bullet proof but surely helps to store them carefully..

Let's see different lipo storage ideas for safety..

I happen to find some good size ceramic bread pans with matching covers that work well.
they aren't air tight but they will contain any type of fire and can be handled in case of a fire.

You have to think.. if one of any of these batteries catches fire, How do you get it outdoors as quickly and safely as possible..
So I thought a $4.00 ceramic bread pan with its top could easily be tossed right out the door

Makes sense. I use a container when I'm charging but for storage, what if it catches fire when you're not around. There's no escape from smoke damage no matter what. You just hope it burns in its place possibly taking one or 2 packs along with it.

Wow, that's a lot of batteries.

Just a thought though. If a bat in the bottom row lights off, you're gonna lose the whole lot. Fire burns upwards. The orginal horizontal bunker is better methinks.

Is that a concrete basement wall next to your vertical bunker or drywall?

I still prefer lipo bags whether I'm storing them inside the house or outside. 2-4 packs per bag and bags goes into a metal drum that's sitting on a concrete floor far enough away from the walls.

It's a drywall.

I use lipo bags when I store them for a while. I think that's a good way to shelf them for easy access.

I store all 10 of my 6S 5000s in a paper grocery bag between some hay bales and gas cans. Is that OK?

Oh, and the top of the same gas can for my generator makes a great charging station when at the field, just a tip! That way my charger isn't sitting in the puddle of water that's always there where I charge...

Well, you belong to a selected few of geniuses for sure. God bless..

Just make sure the plugs are all loose and touching each other when in the grocery bags.
