Default A LOT has changed since 1985

Howdy all.
Been flying gliders since the 70's. Back when frequencies were yellow/white, red/white, etc.
Got into Helicopters mid 80's with a GMP Cobra...50 sized.
Managed to hover, and some slow flight, but not good enough to keep the costs down.
2 kids later, I bought a few gliders again, and a Blade CP.
Trashed that a few years ago, had another kid, and just bought a
300cfx new from a guy on craigslist for 150.
I'm a bit confused on the radio setup, downloaded to the cf card the setup for my dx8. But I really don't understand the settings. I'll be reading the forums during naptime to get more ideas on what each setting does.
Happy flying!

Oh man things have changed haha. Almost everything you knew in 1985 is irrelevant other than the obvious basics like what the sticks do.

But you come to the right place you will be more in the loop in a week or two. There's lots of help here.

Hi and welcome! Have you tried the Spektrum web page? They have setup files for Blade models and Spektrum radios. If your combination is available it will give you a head start. Here is also a little something try try to get you back up to date hopefully.

Check out some youtube videos on 7200bx setup, that's the key piece you need to focus on.

Also, pick up something like an MCPX or V977 or a SIM, 300CFX parts are expensive, a cheap micro or SIM will save you LOTS of frustration.
