Default Lets play name that speed controller...

A friend of mine caught up to me at a local fun fly yesturday. He wanted to bring me the results of his latest E7 flight. Can you guess what speed controller was involved?

It was a Scorpion Commander V 130a OPTO I am hoping these don't turn into major problems like with CC. I love the way they work in conjunction with the VBar gov, easiest GOV I have ever setup.

Yup, I have put my E helis away for the summer until some one can design an ESC that won't BBQ my heli when I plug in the batteries or use it as it was designed.

Kontronik can fail but will not catch fire. Only Kontronik and YGE provide the necessary over current protection to prevent a fire.

Yep Kontronik for me, or YGE.

I was going to buy a Scorpion 130 but holding off now.

I have a BEAUTIFUL Synergy E7 hanging on the wall of my workshop. I love everthing about it and the synergy brand.....however....I am debating what to do since my castle cremated itself. I also wonder if I should wait until ESC technology catches up. I got really lucky this time to get the fire out, but i might not be so lucky next time. If matt had an N9c out Id opt for that for sure and make the one I have an E6.

Yes, really. Show me one documented case of a Jive starting a fire. I'm not talking about a failure that leaves the ESC "smelling" burnt but an actual fire that had to be extinguished.
