Looking very nice with all the metal upgrades but if they are going to that extent.....
Why do they insist on plastic geared servos. That kills me!

Really all I want to know is the cost of the the new frame vs the other available cf frame.

Pretty good pricing compared to the original cost of the 300x

Looks like you must buy the sides of the frame and bearing blocks seperatley, not sure if the hardware is included in one of them tho.

I believe those are spare parts. The bnf is a complete heli already assembled ready to fly hopefully out of the box

looks like it will cost around $130.00 +- to upgrade 300x to 300cfx. More for metal head and grips

Anybody else notice the word 'basic' added to the name of the heli in the title of that promo video? Sounds to me like the kind of language used when more than one option will be offered. Perhaps there will be a pro kit, a hopped up kit, or an airframe only kit.

The only surprising thing to me is the servo layout. That is kind of cool, but not really enough to make me want to change over from the Lynx frame. It should make it easier to mount a wider variety of aftermarket servos if it's done properly. I'll be interested to get a better up-close look at how these aluminum blocks are machined and find out how much the frame weighs.

Other than that it is basically a frame, head and main blade update to the 300X.
  • Same crappy motor
  • Same crappy ESC
  • Same crappy servos
  • Same crappy plastic canopy
  • Same halfway decent FBL

In one of the other already numerous threads on the 300CFX, someone from Horizon reportedly indicated there's 11 unique parts to the CFX, with many common parts.

EDIT: I think the 11 number is wrong. There are currently 11 parts shown for the 300CFX, but these are specific to the frame. Other parts supposedly different are missing, like main gear and pinion. I wouldn't be surprised if the servo rods are different, etc.

I suspect everything else will be the same. Probably even the enlarged bolt holes on the main shaft stays the same. At least the cf frame should help preventing them break within few flights.

Only difference that i see from v1 is the cf frame

Oh well looks like Scorpion/Hyperion and the new EOX motors are going to be sold out everywhere

Disapointed the motor hasnt been upgraded or fixed for that matter....

i think i'll be sticking with what i have I'll take a llok at the frame as an upgrade if available once we get some specs on it.... Im happy with the plastic and stiffener for weight saving so we'll just have to see...

The main blades looked quite nice

Well theres the all Alu head/grips/followers, CF blades, CF frame, black (maybe CF) tail fin and stabilizers.....

I notice on the site it looks like new dampners, swash links and alu belt cross member....

Its gonna be an expensive upgrade having to purchase it all in parts. Lets hope they sell a retro fit package less the metal head.... or atleast a full mainframe.

to be honest, I was kind of expecting HH to surprise us with a smaller version of 450H motor or something similar, better metal geared servos and better esc.

Guess they noticed Lynx, RKH and MH are making money from cf frames and aluminum parts so they have to take a piece of the pie as well.

I'm sure they can but their current configuration works just as well IMHO but who knows, if the public demands for it, I'm sure Lynx, MH or RKH will come up with it
