Default 4S or 6S stretch?

Hey guys,

Thinking about stretching my Mini. Would you recommend 4S or 6S? The only thing that puts me off 6S is the cost of batteries and also I'm assuming it would be a really low capacity 6S due to size? The main reason I want to stretch is to increase the size of the heli and swing bigger blades for stability

I would really love to stay with Revolectrix batteries and the smallest capacity they come in is 2200

I fly 4S stretch on 2010kV motor with Gens Ace 2200's and I'm extremely happy with it. You need to really beat on it to bog this setup. What you don't get is the weight advantage of 6S but I don't feel 4S to be lacking.

same here, 4s stretched going very good with hyperion 2200's and a-spec 2200's

in my opinion (and not only mine) the 6s motor for mini has lower efficiency than the 3s or 4s motors
because they had to squeeze so many turns of wire in the motor so had to use very small diameter wire

maybe could be a nice idea to modify the shaft of the new scorpion 6s HK2520-1360 (4mm vs 3.175mm)
and try it on mini

I'm making this same debate in my head now. I've been thinking of trying 4s with the stock 3s motor, and 14t pinion. Would have to drop the throttle a little, but should give good power.

When it gets stretched though, it's going to be either 4s, or 6s, with the proper motors. Still not sure which though, maybe I'll get both.

be careful with 14T pinion ... time ago was very prone to break
don't know if has been fixed

Default 4S or 6S stretch?

I can not tell you the difference between a 3s 4s or 6s. I went 6s stretched out of the box. I love it. I would recommend this setup to everyone. As for 6s batteries I have 3 kinds but the cheapest ones fly almost as good as the expensive ones.

Take a look at the nano tech 6s 1300 35c. For $25 each they are great. They work good enough that as soon as the US wear house has them I'm getting more. Look at the spec's as they have 25c 35c and 45c the 35c ones I have are great. I also have the 45c ones but they do not fit very good.

LIke many others here, I very much like my 4S, 15t, 2200mah, stock 2010kv motor stretch Mini Protos setup. Works great for me. 350 to 353 mm blades from MSH, SAB, Edge, and Radix all work well with slightly different feel from one brand to the next.

6S motors were out of stock everywhere when I set up my Mini Protos, otherwise, I may have gone 6S. However, I'm happy with the 4S thing.

Good luck.

Default 4S or 6S stretch?

Thanks guys. A lot of 4S setups so I think that might be the go and I think I'll get the Edge 353 blades to try. Just gotta wait for the Australia MSH retailers to get the blades back in stock then I will order it
