Default It's getting closer! Henseleit website updated!

I friend pointed me to the newly updated Henseleit website.

http://www.henseleit-helicopters.de/...id=471&lang=en

I didn't realize that the TDR-2 was capable of running up to 800mm blades!

Cool stuff!

Yes saw the 800 capability, really exited and can't wait for the kits to be released.

On his website he states clearly it is 3D capable, should be the same as TDR, nice graceful 3D not the hard smack stuff.

Direct quote from Jan's website.

"The extreme stiffness and strength of the mechanic makes it ready for extreme 3D too."

Considering it is made for extreme power, that makes sense.

I had asked Jan about crashing and he said that the body is so dense and rigid that it is like a solid object in a crash. That 15mm x 2.0 mm main shaft is also very durable.

This may end up being one of the most versatile helis out there.

Nice! Can't wait, but it's going to be a while for me. I got on the TDS list first and added to the TDR2 much later.

This may be one of the most rigid air frames ever created in an RC Heli. The structure is very dense. The bolt pattern is very dense. There are large unifying metal structural members, and then the 15mm main shaft with accompanying large bearings. The OWB on the intermediate shaft to improve its leverage.

It may prove to be a one of the most bullet proof helis ever created too, but only time will tell on that one.

I'm expecting to eat up packs very "quickly" with this bird and eventually try head speeds as high as 2500 rpm. At that point, I'll just happy that I'm not melting gears or having the drive train self destruct

2:30 may be about right !

Default Conversion Kit

I noticed the site listed a conversion kit (coming soon) under the TDR tab. Have there been any details released about conversion components?

There is no way that a TDR could be converted to a TDR-2. It is impossible. It was designed from scratch and I can't see any shared components between them.

The upgrade would be a complete kit.

There will be a TDS upgrade at some point.
