700 X Complete
Another build for a friend. Went together smoothly. gg Blade.
Off for a test flight hopefully tomorrow then back to the owner it goes. I've ordered some shims to get the tail gears tight.

Nice!
Nice, another blade 700. Glad to see it, after a few other 700 models that one is still my favorite, both in building and flying. The mechanics are so clean and simple, and it fly's very connected.

Looked like that motor was pretty hot after landing when you touched it.

For sure It's a pretty small motor.

Meh, that's pretty much what Scorch-pion motors are like (-:

KDE or Xnova for me. They run much cooler. Heat won't harm them at all, but it's kind of annoying when you touch them and they burn you

That and Scorpion says you have to oil them frequently like every 10-15 flights. Some people say you don't have to do that, but a lot of others do. Ain't nobody got time for dat.

I agree with the previous post in that the cyclics are tight. I didn't understand that "connected feeling" until I had other 700+ heli's to compare it to. It's a very crisp, yet forgiving and rigid cyclic on the blade 700x. It is, and to date will be until I find better, my favorite heli to flip-roll-3d. I just feel like I'm certain it's going to do what my sticks say, if that makes any sence? I'm sure there are many other good kits out there, but for me, between the kits I've built it's up there. Too bad company b.s. had to come into play and slow, or basically stop, the roll. :/ I know everyone rips on Blade, but in the 700x they built a real contender. And the tail gears, who haven't stripped them on another kit? Just my 2 cents....

Cyclic is pretty slow for me, but that's probably just the BeastX setting. I'm at 150% in travel adjust on my radio. Not my heli, so I'm not going to crank it up in the gyro.

For informational purposes, it's a combination of cyclic response in the menu settings and turning up the center pot. The higher pot #2 is, the more direct control goes to the swash and is untouched by the FBL unit.

Thanks.
I just mean rotation rate, if I do continuous flips it's really quite slow. I would go for a lot faster if it was my heli.

Rotation...
I find if I have cyclic response set high, dual rates high and a fair amount of direct servo control via pot 2 the rotation rates get almost out of hand, for me anyways. I've played around with different combinations this spring and as I have it set now, which is far from the fastest I've had it, it flips quite fast and stays very locked in through the flip/flips and or rolls. I can definatly slow it down if I time the collective improperly though, but with good timing it whips right around, and I'm sure the better I get with timing the quicker my flips and rolls will be. Even though the beastx is short on settings, I'm finding that even with the ones that are there it's possible to craft a very different flying and feeling heli in short order, it's just getting the right combination for what feels good for you.

I set cyclic rates in BeastX to "Transmitter", I'm at 135% in my aileron and elevator travel in my radio.

BeastX has always been slow for me. I fly Vbar and my agility is almost always right on 120 in the Vbar (not 120%... it's just the setting number).
