OK, Precisionhelitools.com sent me this to review. He (Bob) is a Helifreak'er just like you and me that decided to make a product to make it easy and a reliable way to replace the bearings on your Trex (all sizes) Torque Tube gears. I see posts all the time asking about how to replace the TT gears on a Trex and move the bearings from the old gear to the new gear. This tool does it's job! You guys that are into tools I think will like this. It is also a platform (arbor press) that who knows what Bob will come up with to do next

Not really sure, something funky with a newline character.

P.S. The Outrage 90, Outrage 50, Align 600N, and Align 700n all use 12x18x4mm bearings on the crown gears, so I believe this tool should work on the Outrage machines.

This is a great tool. It will save time and money as I have damaged a couple of TT gears durring rebuilds.

This is the cheap (but first you have to crash the heli to cut the TT ) and not that precision way (boom case can be damaged if the bearings are really tight) that I came up with

Ok, you can push the gear out of the tail housing, but what if the bearing stays on
the gear? Why is this tool any different than a punch or a screwdriver?

Yes, no major difference from a punch. It just fits better, easier to center the push. Besides if it is the bearing damaged, it won't harm the gear like a punch or screwdriver.

I don't get the first thing Ironman? Bearings are clamped by boom case, how they can stay on the umbrella gear.

I have found that a lot of the time, at least one bearing remains on the shaft after it
is removed from the housing.

Nice idea.. I've always put the gear in the freezer to get it back on easily but have torn up more than one bearing trying to get them off..

Cool, I am an absolute sucker for cool tools, even though I don't do t-rex stuff much really I can see other uses for this so screw it, I ordered one to!

Really a nice tool. Very high quality finish and the operation is as smooth as glass.
Also nice for getting the lower bearing to sit just right in the groove.

Highly recommended piece of equipment...
Kinda like the brake wrench for installing the springs, sits around a lot but when you need it..........

Got mine in the mail about a month ago...Just when I was struggling

to change my stock Trex 600 tail gear box out to the updated 550/600 tail gear case this little tool came along. A bit pricey but worth the $$$$ as I was set back up in just minutes.

FYI he just added a little upgrade. I just got them. Now it comes with 3 gear alignment knobs to help align the TT gear with the bearing for pressing back on the bearings. Makes it even easier now to use the tool to put the bearings back on!

Well if you like the press.... I received mine about 6 weeks ago.

You'll love the pilot attachments for installing the bearings back onto the gear..

Surprised when I found these little beauties sitting in the mail box and not knowing what they were or where they came from till I read the note..

Now that is what I call Customer Service!!!
