I have a standard gaui motor, kontronic 55-10-32, gaui 365 fbl unit(using onboard tail gyro),futaba 9650's on cyclic,Gaui fbl head.

I am having a great time flying the heli, but at present I am changing all bearings in the heli to eliminate a vibe up front.

Cheers Dave.

At the moment she is stripped down for a complete set of bearings.

Cheers Dave.

Here is a close up of it not long after it arrived. The heli now has a scorpion motor fitted, but the kontronic 55-10-32 is not likikng it and both motor and speedy are getting warm.

Cheers Dave.

Here in the states, it is a little black beetle that makes really annoying screeching noises after dark.

Well the 425 is flying sweet and I'm managing to keep her inverted for a bit and the gaui 365 fbl unit is working a treat and the onboard tail gyro is holding her sweet too.

I just need to get more batteries and have more flight time.

Cheers Dave.

What was the outcome with the Scorpion / Jazz 55-10-32 issue? Which Scorpion is it?

I just scanned this thread and it did occur that a Scorpion might be a bit much for the Jazz...

I have a Scorpion 3026/1400 in my 425 FES (with a BeastX FBL controller) and am using a Jive 80 LV controller. Works a treat in governor mode. The motor does get a little warm but nothing to cause concern. I'm pretty sure I'm pulling a lot more than 60 amps at times 'cos my Turnigy 6S 3000MaH 20 - 30C LiPos often come down a little puffy... they deflate after a short while but I'm guessing I'm pushing them quite hard on some flights. Need to get my Eagletree logger on the heli at some stage.

I have a Jazz 55-10-32 in my 550... but that is running 10S

Hi Dave,
What is your setup on the 425.
Servos, motor/ESC
What head are you using?
I just bought a 425 with the 504 motor and also a GU-365 and was thinking of putting the 365 in one of my 500s, I have an Align500 Flybarless head.
And if you don't mind posting the info what settings on the GU-365 worked for the 425
Thanks Mate

Thats my next build

I just got the 425 basic kit, and in line for the carbon frame upgrade,
im going to use align servos, not sure on motor or esc or gyro,
but for 160 total for the basic kit and carbon frame that's not bad.

Hi guys, I basically have forgotten about this thread.

I apologise for not making any further comments in here.

I have sold the heli now( it was used to by the X5 and the new owner is loving it and will make it into a 550.

Here is a vid of it being flown by Hamish Scott( a while ago now). As mentioned, i used the gaui 365 fbl unit to great success as pictured in the vid.

[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SsUCwDStxgE&feature=mfu_in_order&list=UL[/ame]

I ended up going back to the standard gaui speedy and bec.

Cheers Dave.

I was using the Gaui fbl head and it worked fine for me, the motor was a scorpion 1400 k.v. ,Gaui speedy( in the end), futaba 9650's on cyclic and a futaba 9254 on the tail.

I can't remember the settings on the fbl unit, but if I can find a pic, I will post it for you.

I ended up selling the 55-10-32 and just used a gaui branded speedy.

Cheers Dave.
