I think that means "Now spool me up to 100% at zero pitch so I can calibrate and then spool down and unplug me again".

After selecting Gov store via the prog card it is normal to hear a 1 single beep before calibrating your max headspeed. After you have done your calibration properly and you have cycled the power on your ESC, you should NOT get any beeps, if you do then it means your gov store programming was not successful and you should redo the setup again.

If all my packs are the same, should I just use regular gov? Would it be necessary to use Gov Store? Any advantages to use Gov Store if all my packs are the same?

If you do autos, every time you come out of throttle hold in normal gov mode it will recalibrate to increasingly lower head speeds (unless perhaps your throttle hold is a few percent rather than 0). In Gov Store mode this isn't supposed to happen, .. but it seems to for me anyway...

Oh ok...
I'm not a big auto guy. I just fly / stop / change pack / fly / stop / change pack |

Well, also means you don't have to do the little calibration ritual each time you spool up, but I'm not sure I ever did that properly anyway. If your packs are all the same, Gov Store is definately the best mode. Just remember to reinitialise it if you change any gearing, blades etc.

Oh I guess I'm confused now. I thought Gov Store was better if you had packs that didn't output the same quality voltage.
Since all my packs are pretty much identical I thought it would be best to use Regular Gov |

If your motor timing, battery etc never change - i.e. none of the variables affecting governing - then it's pointless doing that calibration on every spoolup. It can just do them once and "store" the result. However, if the variables do change when in GS mode, it will be using bad calibration data so you need to recalibrate. If your variables change a lot (e.g. you have a right rum collection of packs) then it's best to stick to regular gov mode. |
