Default Travel power supply (Dell 240W?)

Hi guys,

I am considering buying a lighter charger and power supply for traveling. Was thinking of getting iCharger 206b and this power supply:

http://www.amazon.com/Dell-Replaceme...dp/B006QE190E/

Any of you guys have experience with it? Sounds like won't use much space in the suitcase or weigh too much.

There are some people who are using these for lighter charging output limits. As long as you recognize the limitations on output you are good to go.

Update: I bought a used power supply similar to that one on eBay for $35 - this is the one I got:

http://www.amazon.com/Dell-AC-Adapto.../dp/B00CTHK9IU

It's a little bigger but has a better wattage. Turns out that 330W rating applies only to 240V. At 220V, the max wattage is around 230W. This means that the PS shuts off at exactly 12A.

This allows me to charge a 6S pack at around 7A, or 3S at around 14A. Which is plenty for my travel needs.

Only disadvantage is that's it's bigger than I expected and weights almost 2.5lb.

In the end it wasn't worth it. It's 50% heavier than this RC power supply:

http://www.amazon.com/ProgressiveRC-.../dp/B00CD9V2EY

The only plus side is that it has no cooling fan so is quieter.
