Default Axe 100SS pitch curve (8FG)

Hey guys,

Just got an Axe 100SS. I hovered it a couple times and it's doing ok. In regards to setting up the idle up pitch curve, what are you futaba guys using for pitch curve points? I'm not sure how accurate the recommended setting are. Also, for gyro gain adjustment, do you use a switched method to adjust it or adjust it based on condition? Also is it just the RUD gyro that should be adjusted? Sorry, this is my first micro Heli.

Thanks,

Justin

I think i used a pitch curve of -80, -40, 0, 40, 80. If you use 100% of the available pitch, it's too much and causes significant bogging. One of the pro pilots that was demoing the ssl at a fun fly even recommended to me that I adjust the upper throttle endpoint as high as it'll go (140 I think....) so that you make sure you have as high a head speed as possible with a 100% flat throttle curve. In combination with less pitch, it helps to prevent bogging, and I thought it felt pretty good for a micro set up the way he suggested. My issue is the tail motor taking so long to break in, that I end up crashing and breaking it due to blowouts before he tail motor has a chance to break in. Once broken in, (12-15 flights) the tail started to hold better for me.

Idk, I've been battling with my SSL off and on to try to get it reliable because it's fun once I do, but I just keep crashing and having to start over, lol.
