Default Need some help from the experts please

He guys , i just purchased a Logo 690 that runs on 12s . I am very green when it comes to electrics as i normally fly nitro . I also got a Hyperion EOSO720I Super Duo 3 Dual Charger (14s/1000W) with a power supply which i think is 55amps /870 w . I would like to charge as much batteries as possible but at least two 12s at a time ????? The battery packs are 6s each with each 6s pack having two balancers, one big and one small. I think one 6s is made up of one 4s and one 2s pack and each 6s pack is using what I think they call DC5's . Hope I am not sounding stupid and it makes some sense ? The first thing is what is the best set up to charge these batteries and where can i get it ? Please guys help me

I would not charge them as 12S. Takes more watts to do that.
Charge them as 2 - 6S packs.
Buy a parallel charging board. They will charge up to 6 packs at one time.
Sounds like you have Thunder Power packs.
Buy the right parallel board for your balance plugs and main power plugs.

It's a Logo 600 by the way.

I prefer parallel cables.. easier to hook up. I can charge six of my Fusion 50 packs in 40 minutes or two in 12 minutes. (6s4000's). I use dual deep cycles in series for 24V input.. or a feathermerchant powersupply at home (12v 42A)

This photo shows the iCharger 306b but no I prefer my newer Powerlab PL6.

Oh yes I am. I really love my PL6. Getting 36A out of it with the deep cycles. My 306b is now in the garage on the 12V power supply. Both are excellent chargers.

When I bought my 306B, PL wanted $279 for the PL8.
So I didn't buy. got my 306B.
Then they came out with the PL6.
Haven't really needed anything better than what I have right now though.
Besides, I don't think the PL6 would fit in my field case.

The pros (for me) of deep cycles is I never have to home charge anymore and can fly all day long from the back of my truck. Both powerlab and ichargers are great. my pl6 puts out 36A so I can charge a tad faster.

I used a deep cycle for a while and does work. For anything larger than a 500 you really need two of them. What I didn't like about the deep cycle is constantly being in a mindset of conservation. That meant that I had to make sure to charge my packs before I left for the field, and always be mindful of the Pb batteries state of charge. Also the Pb batteries need to be cared for and re-charged.

Now I just load up the generator, charger, packs etc and head to the field. I charge at the field and its mighty quick. I never worry about running out of power or doing any charging before each day at the field. Just top off the Honda's tank from time to time and go.

ive just started doing parallel charging and went out and got a parallel board, i have to agree with you. its a pain in the back side getting the balance plugs in and out of the board especially out with the charge plugs all in the way. i wish i would have "read" this post before and got seperate cables for each charge and balance. oh well live and learn, and spend more on the hobby.
