Question Which tail servo to use Align DS420 or DS520?

Hey guys I am getting my new 450 sport this week and I am trying to decide which is gonna be the best tail servo to use on it. I have both the DS420 and DS520. I know the 520 has more torque but the 420 is just a tad bit faster. Can anyone help me out? I will be running 6 volts and I do hard sport flying, light 3D like flips, loops and a few tic tocs.

So why is the tail servo in a different location on the pro? On the sport it's on the tailboom. The pro uses the 520 and the sprot uses the 420.

The 420 is faster only on paper... Use the 520 if you can.

Would the DS420 work with the Pro? Or is it too small to fit that new tail servo tray?

I've not had good luck with the DS420. Never tried a 520 and use 9257's.

I use 420 but ever with weighted tail grips the servo heat up and at the end of the pack i losse tail autority.
To much stress for the 420. i upgraded to 520, and rock solid when full collectif and hard piro. Go for the 520

Always thought the DS520 was the same as the 9257 ore something like this. Nevertheless

+1 on the DS520

I have seen Bert rip it up with his totally stock sport super combo? So I think either will work... but If I had both in the spare electronic case, I would use the DS520, I have one on my beater 450 and it works great with the Align gyro...

Take this test, remove the main blades then spin up the heli with the tail rod disconnected and try to move the rod by hand. You will install the larger servo.

The 450 Sport comes with the tail weight mod built into the heli, therefore the DS420 is strong enough. My sport has 50+ flights on it now and never an issue with tail authority running the 420. If it was me, I would use the 420 on the Sport, it's what the super combo comes with anyway and I would save the 520 for a 500 size heli.
