Magnum center glide and backplate sensor
I have an os105 with the center glide bearing and I was wondering if this will cause the spectrum back plate sensor to read wrong.i have adjusted the sensor trying to find the rite distance but no luck. All I can figure is the center glide is causing this. On my vcontroll it shows around 3500 rpm when I know that's not rite. Just wondering if anyone else has had this issue.

It senses the crankshaft so I don't think the bearing has any impact. If you go to the gov status screen, there's an indicator for when the gov sensor triggers. Make sure it's only triggering once per rotation. Too close or too far can cause it to misfire. On one of my buddy's 105s we needed washers under the mount to get it spaced properly.

Most likely you miscalculated the gear ratio. Are you using the BPS for the gov too? If it is inconsistent and unreliable, then it could be the gap between the BPS and the backplate needs adjustment. I am pretty sure the center glide bushing is bronze or some mix of nonferrous metals. It should not affect the sensor pickup of the crankpin as it passes the BPS magnet.
