I have done a lot of research on the ALZRC servos. They are OK. I have opted for the rebadged ALZRC DEKO's. So they are a very good spec. I dont think I have seen better for a 450 / 470 / 480. The BLS521MG. And the D1102 Cyclic. (both metal with heat sink cases)

I have 2 x 380s in the build Queue a 2 blade and a 3 blade.

They are also getting.

Scorpion HK-2520-1580KV motors.

Hobbywing Platinum V4 60A ESCs

Beast or a DJI Naza-H. haven't decided yet.

I will be operating at 7.4 Volts and using one of my Futabas 18MZH / 18SZH or FrSky Horus X12. Haven't decided that yet either.

Thanks for doing the Build thread. I always like to pick up good build tips.

Cheers Brian

Default OK part 4........the saga continues

a few things.......watch your motor and esc, might need to add wire, and some servo extensions, and i shortened my sat wire, i didnt want it 10 feet long, and 1 more thing

YES just put in 2 front screws for tail servo plate , so you can tilt out of way to squeeze tail boom in there, i think i should buy tail idler pullys

I bought the pulleys, the belt looked too close to the boom for comfort.
Added more clearance.

Yup, got SAB parts. Didn't want to wait, what the heck it will turn into a GOB 1 part a time.
Also I didn't like the swash followers, the tiny flanged bearings got sloppy so I got a Gob head, Grips and Lynx Hybid DFC links so all matched silver

You need min of 1800mah and then the tail is heavy. 1800 is good when you want it light to smack around
Ya, Deans are junk, had the same problem.
I ended up with PULSE 2200mAh 6S 22.2V 45C .
SAB Guys can bite me, LOL, now that's funny.
Nice hangers.

I see that the 60 amp speed controller is discribed as a HW 60amp V4.
Will it update to the HW FW and can the Hobby Wing wifi link be used?
If I buy one of these kits I may go with a HW 80 amp V4 for the telementary.

How is the motor and bearings, would I be better to change out bearings as a precautionor have there been no issues?

Are there any components that peopel are changing out to Sabb original during the build process?

I have seen a few threads regarding this heli and have been on the fence about weather or not to buy one.

The ESC HW cone works with the LCD program box and the wires are long, no need to splice. The first time I tried to link to the PC I got a update and haven't tried since. I did notice the soft start comes on slow and then a slight uptick in speed and continues soft start just like the HW 60 V4. Your not going to use the HW 80 V4, it's huge and uses the same case as it's big brother. So far my motor bearings are holding up and run 3500 head speed @ 85 store gov with a 1 tooth over stock gear. Timing at 18 the motor and ESC are just warm. When the bearings crap I'm putting a Scorpion on it.
As for SAb parts lots are going to the tail assy and changing it out for the dampened, I did have to fight some tail vibes during the test spool on the bench with the control rod disconnected. I put KDBBs on and you could see them pitch off at 60% throttle. Flipping the hub fixed it and it's smooth and quit. I like
Anther thing is blades. The Alzrc ones I got had a bow to them and went to Switch since they have a safety strap and they work great.
I have 2 1800 and 2 2200 batteries, the 2200's set the COG just right.

I think I'll build one of these as well, have everything to drop into an airframe... Has anyone done a vibe log on this bird? I'll be putting sk720 on it and they're sensitive...

I run mine up on the bench to feel around for vibes, thought about putting the BX on the side but found the gyro place had next to 0 vibes felt when checking. Sides did.

With the main and tail being belt driven, I would say you will be fine with an SK720BE. Is it a blue or black 720? I have 3 SK-720's, 2 black and 1 blue on Aligns and as long as you take your time to mechanical setup the heli propperly, as you would with any heli, you should have no issues. If I get one of these, I will probably put a SK-720 BE in it. Also the vibes will only effect the bail out function.

The tail has been the only problem with vibes.. Also balance the entire head assy. I measured the thrust bearings stacked and found them to be uneven but swapping the brass spacer that goes under the outer radial bearing made them perfect.
