Yeah, This sounds about right, I love taking my Mcpx V2 out in the wind. Hovering at a 45 look awesome and generates smiles. What about the Trex 150 it might be what is needed, except the price

wow....good debate folks!

Yes i have owned a V1 and V2 MCPX- and i did pretty well. Flips and rolls I could do pretty well. The dumb thumbs did hit occasionally.

looking for a good cp hell that can take a few hits, and keep on keeping' on.

Leaning towards the MCPX BL- they have spare parts locally. I hate crashing and waiting for parts in the mail......

You won't go wrong with it. I have my mcpx bl since it came out I haven't upgraded the motors only things I fone was put a lynx main shaft in it, an microheli swash, and a lynx main hub, I'm steal using the plastic blade grips, and I flying kbdd tail blades to calm the small tail wag in a hover, and the stock main blades are but I have a set of kbdd main blades for the v1&2 mcpx and I'm flying them on the mcpx bl and I have a set if KDE blades also I really like both. I have crash the pissed out of this thing and havent replaced a part yet or cleaned any of the servos yet thank you Jesus. Have fun flying less time breaking. Plus the mcpx bl is a 2s power house.

Now dont get me wrong the 130 is good but I upgraded a lot on it anybody can tell you about me I upgrade everything that needs a Lil help but I havent upgraded my mcpx bl yet .

If you want to learn more... the BL will probably make you a better pilot. The 130x will make you a better mechanic.

Default Back in the game...MCPX or Nano CPX (130x?)? thoughts?

I love flying my wild bl nano in wind! It's a challenge for sure, but the power makes it easier to gain altitude when the wind pushes it down. I have flown all my micros in the wind, and out of all of them, the v2 brushless is the best. Not very impressed with blades version of an mcpx brushless. Kinda wish I never bought it

Good choice ive got them all up to the 130- which i never got to fly straight even after a rebuild-so the mcpx bl is a blast but be careful on the skid and tail...if u crash and the tail isnt CA'd to the frame it will pop out and wrap around something and the landing skid stud will most likely break...ive heard of a quick boil to get the pores out of the plastic to strengthen it but mine broke too soon....have fun but its very quick in the air

And people keep saying the nano cant take wind but i flew it in 13-15mph winds in my front yard doing 3d and all kinds of stuff even going up high were wind is stronger(less obstruction) without nay issues but it may just be me since im new(3 months) but i have really good control on the heli

If the wind knocks your Nano end over end that doesn't really count as 3D.

It doesn't i was quite surprised but i can hold it any orientation i want and i was doing slow 3d- inverted hovers, half loops, half flips but not max collective or hard stick movements :p

My Nano was my go to bird last summer with all the wind we had. Everyone I flew with was "Thought that thing didn't like wind? "

Yah same here its quite sturdy for a tiny little heli...some guy at my LHS was like, "I was at max collective and it started drifting so i had to bring it down in a hurry[ referring to a goblin 700]." Then i go out there with my nano and fly a little easy 3d....turn around...mouth wide open

Here my nano in 8mph winds did fine. Lol if you know what you are doing the wind is no object except for higher winds .

I would love to add a mCPX BL to my fleet, but I just can't justify $230 when the 130X is $250. If (when) they drop the price to something more reasonable ($150-$170 range) I will jump on it.

I have had pretty much every blade micro cp and by far for hardcore 3d a converted mcpx bl with a spin 16k or hp06 is the way to go....the mcpx BL is alright but has a never ending tail wag and is good for mild-medium 3d and the nano is absolutely the best for learning since its practically indestructible but only does light 3d or it will bog down....ive never been able to do 3d with the 130x since i ought it used(i know dumb descion) and tail wag was infinite. I would save the 130x for a better pilot less likely to crash

My 130x does not take ANY strikes or crashes well. Once you tap anything the tail goes out if balance. Once out of balance all the bearings and parts will self destruct in short order.

Bl mcpx is a better trainer. The 130x is fun for pilots and very experienced mechanics. It is a horrible trainer and if not ready for a 450 you're not ready for a 130x unless you enjoy fixing things more than flying. The bl mcpx is far from ncpx strong though.

The nano cpx is the best trainer period as it's literally indestructible on good grass. It will not rival a 130x like a bl mcpx will though. I pay $10/week just to fly 130x without crashing at all. The ncpx is much cheaper to fly as its servos are adequate and bl upgraded motor is strong and light. Most importantly you're only hitting 4g of battery on the ground craahing this perfectly capable cp. The 130x and mcpx batteries make things hit harder for the same training ability and flight time. No amount of engineering can overcome this disadvantage for the mcpx and 130x.

My ncpx is still around because I can save a 450 worth of damage to my 130x by learning anything I want on it first to avoid destroying my 130 on the early attempts.
