Default Coming back to the hobby to learn CP flight

Hello from Maryland!

I flew planes as a kid, and now in my 30's, I purchased a RTF Blade MSR a couple years ago. I had some fun with it and then started my own business and had no time to fly any longer.

Now, my business is doing really well and I decided that it's time I learn to relax and enjoy myself, so I'm taking my hobby back. I would really like to learn CP flight, so I bought Phoenix sim 5 and the DX6i. I've got some questions about it and will be posting my second thread based on those.

Thanks!

Hi and welcome. I lived in Gaithersburg MD several years back. I am glad you are returning to the hobby. Definitely the best way to learn is with a sim. ArchMageAU has a thread on the flight school portion of the forum and he is very nice and willing to help with setting up sims. You can also go to specific forums for your particular sim but as ArchMageAU would say each sim has its own strengths and each serve a different purpose. For training I liked HeliX very much for the hover and promenade training. Now on figure 8 which is step 2 but very slow progress. I am waiting for my heli to arrive so hopefully bit too long I can fly in real life (IRL) again soon. Good luck!
