Default Formula Head

Not sure on the release date, Maybe JC or Matt can chime in with that, but, Gaui posted some teaser pics of the new NX4/X4II formula head today!

I saw this too.

Looks like they have them for the X5, X4ii, and NX4. I haven't seen any prices yet but I will definitely be adding one to my X5. After I see how it performs I may add it to my X4ii.

Not listed for dealers yet, either ... but I'll let you know as soon as I see it.

The Formula head is a touch lower I think, as well as having a cross bolted feathering spindle to lock in the teeter point. It also has new follower arms. It should be a little more responsive and slightly quicker

The head is the same height as the original but it's .05-.10mm wider. It's smooth, firm and I freaking dig it! Going to go fly in the rain now . Oh, also the outer holes give the same geometry as the original arms.

Not really, it's pretty straight forward. The plastic links are a bear to turn in so get some towel or something to put over them and use your fingers. I broke 2 links using tools.

Thanks Matt !!!
Got it while you were away. Used my old align ball link pliers.
Ever so slowly so I didn't break a link Yautzy! Been down that road before. Lol
Also want to thank you for shouting out about spin blades!
Have not tried them on the NX4, but they work very well on the
450 Pro @ 3900 hands down there the best I have come across!
Very we'll balanced. Thanks again

Also my NX4 came with thunder tiger tail ???
Is there something wrong with the Gaui??

Thanks again !

Jim Hansen

Glad you got everything together. Regarding the tail, there have been some reports of the brass slider breaking in flight, this has recently happened to me as well, but the slider was two years old and several hundred flights. GAUI supposedly fixed the issue so I wouldn't be worried about the tail. Also they have made a design similar to the X7 that will be available very soon.
