Default Canopy Grommets on Trex 100

Hi all,

Newbie here. I just started flying a Trex 100 and a couple of the little round canopy grommets are already gone. What's the easy fix here to keep them in place or keep the canopy there? Constantly messing with the canopy is a little annoying.

I also just ordered a couple v911's on the cheap since replacement parts are easy while I am still banging things around. thanks in advance.

Belleville Michigan?

Grommets might be a lost cause... Try to avoid taking it off/on as much as you can. Canopies for trex are much more delicate than the V911, unfortunatly the posts are in slightly different spots so they dont interchange very well. Along with quite a few other parts. V911 is a clone of the trex, but nearly all parts are different enough that they dont interchange, or not with out being modified. I too started with a Trex 100x, but ended up just switching over to the V911 due to parts breaking, cost of parts and over all ease & cost(read: v911 doesnt break nearly as much and is much cheaper to get parts) of keeping the V911 vs the Trex in the air. There are folks who have great success with the trex, but they generally have plenty of experience and dont mind tweaking/modding them.

Default Thanks Eric

Yes, Michigan. As I said I've got a couple v911's coming and as I've read many more posts it sounds like I'll probably end up switching over like most others have. Thanks again.
