Main difference I see between those two is the grub screw is on top....maybe this is the part creating interference? Not sure if you can just flip it or not.

So I would have to assume given people have used that $4 assembly in the past without issue that guy was using an oddball servo that we know not which....Then again those who would state it works without issue didn't say what servo they used either so I was left to assume the HS-65MG.... But ya knows wut "assuming" will get ya, a kick in the nuts and an empty wallet! Either way yes the belts height need to be considered and adjusted correctly or you risk the belt rubbing against the booms side.

Meh, left with those choices and for the price (so cheap enough I couldn't careless) I could buy an try the cheapo Tail Drive Gear and do whatever it takes to make it work or say "screw it" and get the uH Assembly Tom is recommending. Or just go with the uH Pinion at 14.99 (still pricey but) which is wut I dun an did... I would argue that for the price minded it is a reasonable compromise between the two choices offered here.

I have the helidirect part on my 450 with an hs65hb elevator servo. Works fine, but you'll have to remove the servo horn if you want to remove/replace the belt.

One thing you might care about, though, is that the belt pully is one tooth less than the stock, so your tail rotor will spin slightly slower. I don't know if they are all this way, but if you compare the picture of the microheli part and the helidirect part you can tell that the pully is smaller diameter on the inside. If you are running insane headspeeds then this might actually be a bonus since you won't be spinng the tail at such insane speeds. I personally haven't noticed a difference in tail response, but I'm not a crack 3D flyer.
