Default Tail servo guard

Well, this is pretty much my first post here. I am a newb with a 450SEV2 who has been lurking here for awhile. Finless, I love your videos!!!
My first flight went flawless with just some good hovering.
My second flight I came down in a landing a little hard in some windy conditions.
On my third flight, I crashed pretty good (of course, on my 3rd battery).
It was such a good crash that my flybar paddles destroyed my 9650 tail servo!!!!

So I got a new JR3400G servo and decided to protect my $75 investment this time.

I had some thin plexiglass with a nice little angle to it. I measured it to fit between my servo mounts and added some velcro to it.

Then added some velcro to the boom and servo.

Then simply pressed on the new tail servo guard.

It weighs practically nothing and hopefully will deflect a paddle strike if it ever happens again. Let me know what ya think.

Yep I tore up a servo once too... I HATE when that happens
This is what I do now to make a tail servo guard.

I bundle up the excess tail servo/gyro wire and put heat shrink around it. Then a shoe goo it to the top of the servo. Since doing this I havent wacked a servo yet but I have taken off the wire bundle in a hit so I know it does help.

Did the 9650 still work? You can usually get replacement outer cases if the inards still work. I did this number on my gyro while waiting for Rick's mount to come in the mail. It still works to this day with no issues after getting a replacement case from Futaba.
