Default Antennas: Inverted Vee & Skew Planar

I was having all kinds of multipath interference problems where I fly. There's a large baseball backstop made of chain link fence, plus a dugout with a metal roof behind me.

Even at close range (less than 100 feet) I got tons of dropouts and static using various dipoles including the Inverted Vee.

This was at 900 MHz and 1.3 GHz.

I also tried an Eagle Tree diversity receiver without much luck. It just switched from a bad signal to the other signal that wasn't quite as bad.

I switched over to a Bluebeam skew planar (another IBCrazy design) using the 1.3 GHz transmitter. Same receiver. Big difference. It rejected almost all of the multipath interference.

Good stuff Windbreaker

I have IBCrazy's Cloverleaf & Helical antenna's

I think I'll try pointing the tx antenna down like you did and see what happens on the Quad

I got a set of IBCrazy Bluebeam Circularly Polarized Antennas today and tried them out. I flew until my failsafe kicked in on my FY31-AP at my best distance of 1 1/8 mile with my Easystar Plane and stock Hitec Aurora. Video was still great. The only video drops I have had with one-day experience have been when the plane was directly overhead of the video receiver. This was however very brief. I am very pleased.
