Default MULTI BLADE ROTORHEAD options

I'm looking at the MULTI BLADE ROTORHEAD's for the 450 an wow they are pricey and out of stock. Anyone thought about using a trex head? I know the main shaft is smaller on the Trex, but what about drilling it out to 6mm? I know anything is possible given enough time and money. LOL But seriously if all that is needed is a larger (6mm) hole in the swash and head assembly then it seems like it would be an easy mod.
Forza Head $179
Trex Head $40

Unless you have access to machinery to increase the size perfectly I wouldn't bother. If it is off slightly your gonna have a lot of vibes. Another concern would be if there is enough material on the head block to step it up to a larger shaft.

Those are 4 blade heads. The one for JR is 3 bladed head. Much sexier and of much higher quality then the cheapo 4 headed clone heads. You get what you pay for

You "might" be able to keep the hole centered with a straight flute boring bar of the proper size on a drill press, but there is no way it's happening with a twist flute drill bit. Good luck with that but you are likely to end up with crazy vibes.

On a related note, I went to the AMA Expo yesterday and JR had a three bladed TAIL setup for the Forza 700 on display in their booth. It looked awfully close in size to the 450 head, lol, but it was mounted up on a tailboom and had the linkage and everything. They had a 450 with the 3 blade head too.

I have been using the 3blade head on my ForzaEX for a while. Awesome upgrade, slow the head speed down, same agility, longer battery life.
