Crash kit recommendations
I'm in, but I know 130X isn't going to bounce as well as the mcpX.
My guess would be Feathering Spindle & Tail Gears. Any help from the only poeple who would know [HH] Thanks:Chris

Lots of tail gears, a set or two of blades, a tail boom and torque tube would be nice to have, I broke the one on my 125CP (also square CF) in half on a crash once, and the feathering shafts. Possibly a set of tail rotors as well.

Yea I can tell you that you will burn thru the tail gears. I am surprised that HH is not putting at least one set in there package. Walkera puts them in on theirs because it's a given you will go thru them.

James has already stated that spares of tail gears are included with the 130 X. Where did you get the fact that they are not?

My bad, looking at the pictures of 130x on HH web site and I did not see them. That's great if they put an extra set in there.

They should've just included the $15 set of metal tail gears from the start. Loks good though, glad I've held off on an MCPX. Was waiting for them to produce a BL mcpx, but I guess that's not coming with this new lil beast coming; oh and they finally made a micro bl heli!! Bout time they listened to the masses.

When an object in motion comes to an abrupt stop because of hitting the ground, that energy, I think its mass*velocity, has to be absorbed. Since 'something' has to give, it would be better that it be something that is easy, inexpensive and quick to replace. The plastic tail gears are an example of this.. Replace them with metal, and what happens? Break the tail blades, and the tail hub? Break the tail shaft? the other umbrella gear? the main gear? If those come to a stop quick, will the main blades slap forward and cause other damage? What about the stresses to the frame etc.. If you beef up every part to survive every crash, the heli would be so heavy that it will never leave the ground, let alone be 3d capable.

Yeah I agree, like many others have stated they act as a mechanical fuse. They're relatively inexpensive and in a location that's easy to access.

just curious, by looking at the pictures could you be able to produce replacement canopy posts out of carbon rods?

Unlike the mcpx the posts don't line up with the main shaft, so I'm sure we can work something out.
