probably has a lot of uni in it. may have been specially designed. at the 4k price point i guess you have wiggle room to do that.

My guess would be that they have compensated elsewhere in some way. Or it could be something in the way it is mounted.

The Kasamas have all carbon booms that are very rigid but the frames have lots of strategic features to dampen vibrations, like using various mounts supported by rubber O rings etc. I would think the Banshee also has some natural isolation from motor vibes due to the belt drive.

Default Diabolo L

Edit: Never mind. Was answering something that was already covered. I missed the second page altogether.

It's all about resonance. If you hit the right frequency you will see increased amplitude. The increased rigidity of the carbon boom changes it for the system as a whole and you (may) run into trouble. It's not guaranteed that a carbon boom will be a problem, but I saw Gerd commenting on this earlier that their experience was not good with CF tubes.

The Banshee and Diabolo are different designs and therefore have different resonance frequencies.

Would make an interesting experiment with shorter boom/belt. Was just an idea...

shorter would only change the frequency and possibly a small amount of amplitude change. So i am not sure what the effect would be.

Is the drivetrain the same as the regular Diabolo? I just saw a custom Triabolo today and I was really impressed.

http://pulseaero.com/products/vapor-helicopter-uas.php

I was thinking, this could be a replacement for the unobtainium TDR for those who want a light but durable 700.

Yep. I want one. ~13:1 gear ratio, check! Under 11.5lb with 12s5000s, check! Belt driven tail, check! Can handle 715s, check!

minicopter Diabolo L (5 min 47 sec)

I don't know what PulseAero's deal with Minicopter is but it is definitely a Triabolo with custom parts here and there.

No pulse is selling a fully integrated UAS system. It uses triabolo airframes with custom parts and custom blades.

They get around an hour flight time with both systems.
