Default Esky cp3 head

I busted a balance arm on my first flight. No wreck. It just broke in flight.
Though that wasn't the greatest experience, I like what this copter promises for the price, and am wondering whether there's compatibility with another model for replacement/upgrade parts, right now the rotor head, specifically.

Thanks in advance for any advice or help.

I picked up a esky king 2. After breaking parts & exhausting my meager collection. After finding the lack of availibility of replacement parts or dealers.... I ended up replacing the head with an aftermarket one. I went through cnchelicopter.com for my head.

I didn't see one for my copter there, but I have seen one that would fit, I think from Esky. Might be worth it, though I'd have paid a little more for a more durable helicopter in the first place... maybe just not Align prices.

Yeah, my cheap-osity is probably gonna cost more in the long run.

I ordered the replacement part, though, and will install it as soon as I get a little time. Hopefully I'll be able to fly it long enough to get it dialed in before another crackup.

I have ended up with an MSR, & an MCPX. I have gotten away from crashing my king 2, by flying them. I have been getting better. Almost confident enough to spool up my king again.

Oy.
I got the part in, thought I had it all straight, but when I got it spinning up, the CP3 immediately tipped left and hit the ground before I could get the power dropped.

Another plastic part broken... Did someone say the rotor head assembly from a better quality 450 sized copter would fit this thing? I'm kinda in the blind now, I'm learning on my own here and don't really have much experience surrounding me here.

I have just re built my old CP3 with a Align 450 Plus flybarred head! You need to buy the CopterX DFC main shaft, and shorten the top end by 2mm, then it all lines up pretty well. Will post a pic once completed

Please do! My Cp3 and 200srx are collecting dust while I fly my more durable quads around.
I do miss the copters, though, but I've little to no experience repairing this sort of thing (Blade suffered POD and seems to have fried the ESC).
