Default AH-1 Cobra CAD model?

Anyone know where I can find a solid model AH-1 Cobra? I'd like one with the flat windows like I worked on when I was in the army. I'm checking out this one: http://www.3dcadbrowser.com/preview....odelCode=22926
but I'm not sure if it's going to work. The sample file I downloaded from that site opened as a model with lines only. No surface and no CAD solids, but then there was no IGES file in their zip file either so I've requested more info.

Also if I can legally get a free one I wouldn't mind hanging onto my 80 bucks!

What was the extension on the file you downloaded and what CAD program are you using. Iges and step files need to be imported into most CAD programs and then you can view them.

Regards,

Gregory

You can join that 'database' and upload 1 file to download 1.
I find that those files in the net are not for technical data use, they are more for visual. And they have limited # of solid models.

I ended up buying the membership or subscription or whatever and downloaded the Cobra model. It's not a real nice model but it will work. I'm using Mastercam so I can do some work on the cad model before I start programming the toolpaths to cut it.

I also downloaded the A-10 Warthog and that model is very nice. I'll be able to do something with that one as soon as I get the fans and landing gears, but I'll have to decide how big I want to go and what the budget will be first. Decisions decisions...
