Default NiMH to LiFe

I'm changing over to a LiFe receiver battery.
When i charged my NiMH battery i left in in the heli.
I have heard there is a possibility the LiFe batteries can catch fire when
being charged and should be removed for charging.
Is this true?

Never heard of a LiFe catching fire, ever... They are a lot more stable than LiPo, at least as safe as a NiXX cell when being charged (they can get hot enough to start fires if something goes wrong).
