Scorpion Motor Spinning wrong way??!!
Just fired my heli and the motor span the wrong way! Very strange! Yesterday ok and today not.
I remember powering on with the throttle high at the beginning so Im guessing I inadvertantly put it in programming mode and have cocked up the settings. Will find out later when I get home to my progamming card. Scorpion motor and commander esc.

Switch any two leads to change the motor rotation.

Cheers for the reply John.
I'm just curious why it suddenly decided to change direction. If Ive inadvertently changed the esc settings, maybe Ive altered other things too??

Are these things sensitive to static electricity?
On other, non-heli related, hobbies that I have, I've sometimes found that static can cause settings to be lost etc. I know that static charges can build up in, for example, tail belts - could this be the culprit? I wonder if as part of a pre-flight checklist it would be a good idea to verify ESC settings? At least this change was obvious, but a less obvious one could be dangerous. Scott. |

Static? On Mini Titan? What's that?
While I was flying MT I was, occasionally heard that 'other' brand people were talking about static issues, etc - but never, ever, heard anything said anything even close to static discharge problems on MT. Maybe wider boom and who knows what else in the design made it completely static resistant. PS I had AR7000 on my MT before and now AR6200 and they both are known that can suffer from static problems on some helicopters... |

I doubt static as this one has the torque tube fitted.
I think it could be down to powering up and having left my throttle stick at full by mistake. I should pre flight check a bit more thoroughly i guess. There is something in the ESC manual about it resetting to factory default with throttle stick on full but I though the IR interface card had to be fitted for this to happen. While checking over the heli it caused me to find that my elevator servo was faulty...it had one tooth missing on in internal cog. I had noticed that the pitch control had been a bit notch recently, but its been windy so i thought that was the cause. You live and learn..... Every day something new in this hobby!
