Default first synergy heli

hey guys, just ordered my first synergy heli. got an E5 on its way! super excited. my question to you is, has anyone flown an E5s on 6s? i plan on using my existing 5300mah glacier 6s packs with an edge 130 esc. not sure on motor yet. i would like to fly lower head speeds as i am still a novice in this hobby. i only fly sport with some loops and rolls as of yet. wasnt sure if stretching it was a good idea to make up for the heavy packs or if i should just leave it stock? more interested in longer flight times than all out performance. thanx.

I have a stretch kit on the way, that I plan on running on 6s. I have 2x 4400 packs and 2x 4500 pack I currently use and plan on using when I stretch it. I'm going to go with 626 mains though, and maybe bump up the tail to 106s. I have yet to order the blades though.

So to answer your question, yes, you can run a E5s on 6c. There are many others that have done this as well.

Yes lots of people fly it on 6S, better on Rails 556 but will also work on Rails 606 (if you stretch it). Motor for 6S 556mm blades should be 1100 KV. Have fun.

Ok. Any recommendations on motor if I stretch it and run 6s? Again, I'm more interested in efficiency and flite time than raw power.

I'm running the 4025-1100 Scorpion motor, as it is a very popular one for this model.

I suppose one of these day's I'll make myself a signature with my stuff in it so I remember it all.

Speed up the tail for low headspeeds though. I am waiting on my e5s to show up aswell. I did order the 4.5:1 tail gears so I can lower my hs down.

So I ordered a stretch kit with sped up tail ratio. What would be a good target headspeed for slow smooth sport flying swinging 606s?

I fly my E5S with 4035-560 on 6s, at about 1300 rpm, on Rail 606's.

If you want low headspeed and 8 min flights it works just fine...then I can put a 12s pack in and fly 2600 or more if I want.

Check this vid with Matt flying the same setup...he says 1100 rpm, so it might actually be lower than 1300.

Mr mels says 2700 on 15t pinion, 2500 on 14t, 2100 on 12t. Governed though. I assume you run a gov. And 12cell. 6 cell is from 12t-1048hs, 14t-1223hs, 15t-1311hs

When you ordered the kit with the speed up gears, was the gears just an add on item or were you able to get the gears in leu of the original gears?

Where did you order from?

Thanks
